Smart Cycling Classes
Are you a new rider? A potential bike commuter?
Then, you should consider taking this class.
If you are new to cycling, or want to improve your cycling skills and comfort, AlaBike offers a comprehensive League of American Bicyclists (LAB) Traffic Skills 101 course. The class covers the skills necessary to ride confidently in traffic, as well as handling skills and crash avoidance techniques. You will also learn basic maintenance, safety checks and on-road repairs (i.e., fixing a flat).
Smart Cycling classes will not only give you confidence to ride, but connect you with other bicyclists and advocates in your area.
Alabama is fortunate to have several League of American Cyclists trained League Cycling Instructors (LCI) throughout the State. If you’re interested in holding a Traffic Skills 101 class in your area or becoming an LCI yourself, contact Jeff Feet at Pres@alabike.org for information. Fees charged for these classes vary depending on instructor and location.
Participants must provide their own operational bicycles and a proper fitting helmet.
